What is Salesforce Commerce Cloud?

Formerly known as Demandware, Salesforce Commerce Cloud is a SaaS commerce platform for unifying the way businesses engage with customers over any channel or device. SFCC can be used for both B2B and B2C applications. It's a powerful commerce engine used by brands such as Coca Cola, Petsmart, Puma, Lacoste, and more.

Using Zesty.io to manage content in your ecommerce platform provides numerous benefits. How to Integrate Salesforce Commerce Cloud with a Headless CMS

1. Build out the content experience.

Before you get started, it's important to build out HTML, Javascript, and CSS for your Commerce Cloud website. You can do this in any environment, including locally or within your Zesty.io instance.

2. Start the XML.

Next, set up a custom XML endpoint within your Zesty.io instance. To learn how, check out this documentation.

3. Build out content models.

You're probably thinking, "well, at some point, I have to update your XML with dynamic content calls." Exactly right! But first, we need to build out the content models that will populate in the XML. This can easily be done in Zesty.io, and if you need help, check out this documentation.

4. Update the XML with Parsley.

Now it's time to update your XML with Parsley, our templating language that allows for dynamic content calls. Here, you'll replace the brackets from the XML feed from the tutorial listed in Step 2 by calling in your content using Parsley.

5. Import into Commerce Cloud.

Finally, import all of your hard work into Commerce Cloud! Prompt your account to crawl the Zesty.io XML endpoint from your instance. You will want to copy the endpoint URL and paste it into the content import field in Commerce Cloud and submit.
